The Rwanda Bill is the emergency legislation of the UK’s Conservative government aimed at saving its flagship offshore asylum processing scheme, better known as the Rwanda policy. Following the UK-Rwanda Agreement on an Asylum Partnership in April 2022, the UK government prepared for periodic deportation flights to the East African country, but these flights have yet to take place. What followed was a twoyear legal saga over human rights and rule of law concerns, which is now reaching its final stages.
